US Vehicle Tax Calculator is free to use. It is paid for by advertising, mainly ads served by Google. This page explains how ads appear on the site and how they are kept apart from our figures.
How ads appear
- Ads are labeled as advertising and shown in clearly separate spaces, never inside a calculator's inputs or results.
- We do not publish sponsored articles, paid placements or paid links, and no state page is written for an advertiser.
- We don't control which individual ads Google shows. If you see an ad that seems misleading, please tell us so we can block it.
Advertisers never influence our numbers
Every tax rate, fee and rule on this site comes from official state sources and is checked by us; the review date and sources are shown on each state page. Advertisers, dealers, lenders and insurers have no say in the figures, rankings or guides we publish.
