Found a figure that doesn't match your DMV? Have a question about how we calculate something? We'd like to hear from you.
Reporting an error
To help us fix it quickly, please include:
- The state and the figure that looks wrong.
- A link to the official page (DMV, revenue department or statute) showing the correct amount.
- If it affected your estimate, the numbers you entered.
What happens after you write
We read every message. When you report a figure, we open the official page you sent (or find the current one ourselves), compare it with what's on the site, and update the state page if it has changed. The "Checked" date on that page moves to the day we rechecked it, and the change is listed under "What changed in our last review" in the sources section.
Suggestions and feedback
Tell us if a calculator is missing a fee you were charged, if a rule is hard to follow, or if there's a vehicle type or situation you'd like covered, such as leases, motorcycles or moving from another state.
What we can't help with
We can't look up your registration, title status or tax bill, and we can't give personal tax or legal advice. For those, please contact your state DMV or county office directly. Each state page links to its official source.
